Of more than 4,000 parents on the voters’ list, only 585 cast their votes, said Brig. Iqbal Siddiqui, director of the school.

The polling started at 10:00 a.m. and closed at 5:00 p.m. The much-publicized election was held amid tight security.

Director of Foreign Education Mansoor Ghazali was on the round and had deputed two of his officials to monitor the voting process. Zikrur Rehman, first secretary at the Indian Embassy in Riyadh, was also present as an observer.
