CAIRO: The Arab League has launched 2023 as the year of youth following an initiative by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The announcement came at a joint press conference held on Monday at the organization’s headquarters in Cairo.
Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy said that the initiative will host a variety of activities and events in Arab countries this year, through the launch of more than 44 programs.
Arab League Assistant Secretary-General Haifa Abu Ghazaleh said that a package of integrated youth activities will be a feature throughout 2023.
