RIYADH, 10 October — Finnish Minister of International Trade Jari Vilen said here yesterday that the Kingdom and Finland are eager to strengthen bilateral cooperation in all fields.
Addressing a press conference, the minister said: "The two countries will focus on the economic and investment fields and identify joint projects to serve their future interests."
He added that his two days of talks with Saudi officials dealt with activating joint investments in a number of fields such as industry and health. He noted that the current joint investments centered on telecommunications.
"The talks also dealt with importing Saudi gas and lifting or cutting down the Saudi ban on a number of Finnish products," he added.
He noted that his country strongly supports the Kingdom’s bid to join the World Trade Organization.
