No case of polio in Riyadh

RIYADH, 19 October — Dr. Hamad Almanae, director general of health affairs in Riyadh, confirmed that no case of polio has been registered in the region in the last several years, Al--Eqtisadiah newspaper reported. He added that children in almost the entire region have been vaccinated. "All arriving and departing children who are under five are vaccinated, and vaccination campaigns continue at the sites of Haj and Umrah and in the southern region from where the virus is known to spread," he said.
