NEW DELHI, 31 October — The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Laloo Prasad Yadav, yesterday said that the (RJD)-led coalition government in the eastern Indian state of Bihar faced no imminent danger if the Congress party withdrew its support. Laloo was reacting to the recent announcement by three disgruntled Congress ministers who said they were contemplating resignation if their grievances were not redressed. Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhary Mehboob Ali Qaiser, Minister of Relief and Rehabilitation Zahidur Rehman and Minister for Labor and Employment Muhammad Javed, met state Congress chief Shakeel Ahmed on Tuesday and lodged their complaints against the government. Laloo is confident the government his wife Rabri Devi leads will maintain its majority without the three junior ministers. He yesterday said the aggrieved ministers pose no threat to government and indicated they will stay in the government.
