JEDDAH, 1 November — After taking it easy for the past couple of weeks, the cargo specialists ploughed further away from the field with 522 total win points and 45824 pinfalls and a resounding dominance of bowling action even as Tetra Pak’s Randy Mata hit an astonishing 685 pins at the Jeddah Bowling Center.

Veteran Chris Villaveles was at it again, a considerable force to reckon with towing SkyFreight to a yet another team of the week award. He piled up a three-game series 666 highlighted by an eye-popping single-game high of 263 in the first game.

Tetra Pak’s Randy Mata snared the bowler of the week award as his three game output eclipsed the scores of more illustrious bowlers entered in the House of Donuts bowling tournament. Mata’s effort resulted in 2848 pins, 32.5 points for his team.  The foursome of Bert Tuvera, Rodel Ricafort, Joel Flores and Bonnie Garcia scored 583, 547, 526 and 507. The Tuesday night bowling extravaganza also known as 28th Reinforced Conference of the All-Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Jeddah (AFTBJ) is principally sponsored by House of Donuts. Edu Toledo checked in second for the cargo specialists of Don Emy de Guzman hitting 609 and 210 pins in game 2. Rod Morales added 588 while rally Zamora and Hero Garcia ticked in rumbles of 593 and 539 bringing SFF’s total haul to 2995 and 43.5 points for the just concluded games of the weekend.

Dove Bar soap rose to second spot both over-all and in the fortnight after hitting 37.0 points and 2900 pinfalls for an aggregate tally of 476.50 total win points and 45246 pinfalls. Jess Pineda was again at the vanguard of an impressive night for Dove Bar as he   hiked his total output to a team-high 8346 pins in 45 games with a three-game series 625.

Paul Antiporda followed suit with 611 and was even a pin-ahead of Pineda in Game 1 roll-off with 225.  Nap Patayan and Edwin Ronquillo felled identical 547 pins while Allan Sanoza hit 570 as the soap bar makers protected their domain at second after securing that place barely a week ago.

Danny Manriza of Amigos III bowled even better than Villaveles with a 667 in three games setting up his team to third place honor in the week although none of his teammates rose above the 600-barrier.  Alex Flora scored 587, Joey Salvador tallied 565, Mando Beltran plonked 543 and Ed Labuac shot 531.

The team as a whole assembled 2893 pinfalls netting them 34 points.

Seventh placer over-all Mix Bunch  garnered 32.0 points, 2878 pinfalls on a first place performance in game 2 where they got maximum 12 points for hitting 1020 pins.  They placed fourth in game 1 but faded to 11th in game 3.  Louie Bautista and Toto Lim submitted similar output of 604 pins.

Likewise the tandem of Mar Cabrera and Larry Santos shot identical 576 while Boy Casio managed 518.

Next in line was TMI ñJWT with 27 points, 2842 pins as they occupied 6th pace over-all with 407.5 points and 44509 total pinfalls going to their lane 16th assignment in week 17.  Roger Daquiaog came a little bit late in the night for TMI- JWT but his pitch-in Mixi Lechuga had a good single game of 202 pins in game 1 before Daquiaog stepped in the next two games with scores of 188 and 215.

Hagibis (463 twp, 44727 pinfalls) is at third place over-all having yielded the runner-up post to Dove just a week ago. They garnered 24 points where their best showing was third in the 3rd game hitting 1016 pins for and equivalent 10 points.
