JEDDAH, 1 November — The 11th Jeddah Bowling League-Anchor Milk bowling tournament at the Jeddah Bowling Center saw Publicis Graphics pulling further away from the pack with a massive onslaught in the 17th week. The team compiled the highest three-game scratch of 2436 pinfalls nailing unprecedented 50 points while it placed three of its bowlers above 600s.
Joey Salvador was the classiest bowler for Publicis Graphics as he completed a remarkable three game series of 631. Salvador who has current JBL 187 average pins per game is the second player in the team with most games played having suited for 36 games and 6719 pinfalls to his credit at the close of the 17th week.
Chris Villaveles checked in second with 619 pinfalls assembled on lines of 195, 214 and 210. The third best bowler for PG was Class b Leo Traquina who sidetracked 616 pins lining up his 30th game with 5437. Team manager Mar Narvasa flayed 50 pins as PG amassed 598 total wins points, 38163 pinfalls. They enjoy a commanding lead of 47.5 points over their nearest rival National Pet Supplies.
Team International looked world class submitting the second best production of 44 points and 2367 pins with Toto Lim propping the team. Lim pounded the lanes right away with a 222 and finished with 655 even as James Galvan cemented 601 pinfalls with a promising first game outburst of 213. Versakdi and Bob Oleski skimmed 563 and 548.
National Pet Supplies is running second having racked up and aggregate 550.5 twp and 38145 pins although it checked in fourth in the Tuesday night skirmish on 36 points, 2315 pinfalls.
Dante Calapatia soared high once more for NPS with 608 as he sandwiched his second game 204 pins with 196 either way. Rene Santiago with 232 in the first game proved to be just a flash in the pan as he dipped to 183 and 173 to finish with 588. Cyril Balasico and Ariel Urquia netted 573 and 546.
Disel Xíers is menacingly close at third, and is only two points below NPS in the team standings with 548.5 twp, 36029 pinfalls and they also placed third in the week on a 2340 three-game scratch and 40.5 points as Class O import Majed Aslani once again leading the way with 624 fashioned from a high 232 and similar spill of 196 in the next frames.. As of week 17 the records galore at the JBL show, International Airports Projectsí standout Sid Lapena is at the forefront of the Highest Individual Scratch with 286 followed by Fadi Towaireb with 277, Jun Lasaga is at third with 266.
National Pet Supplies hold he record of High Game Series Team with handicap on 912 pins, Saudi British Bank is second with 906 and International runs third with 904.
Saudi British Bank (2534 pinfalls) is the number one team on the High Game Scratch Team with handicap followed by Hagibis and DíFalcons with 2509 and 245.
Al-Alamiah Insektosí Roger Daquiaog was sizzling hot, copping the bowler of the week award with 689 pinfalls. He wowed the crowd with a series of strikes all throughout the game and stood prominent in the initial roll-off with 248 pins before coasting along in the next two with 227 and 214. His team however is at sixth place overall with 504 twp and 3733 total pinfalls.
Class C Hassan Otaibi distinguished himself among the Saudi British Bankers trampling 620 pins as he closed out splendidly with 214 excluding handicap-19 pins.
