RIYADH, 1 November — Kudu Company through the active leadership of Raffy Habulan, Jr., Aries Quiambao, Orly Casimero, Roselito Siapo and Tony Farinas will launch their 2nd Inter-Regional Division Basketball Tournament at the Kudu Complex basketball court, Al Sulay Area, Riyadh.
This event, which has an outpouring support from the management headed by Abdulmohsen Al Yahya – Managing Director, Mostafa Hamadeh – Operations Director and Saleh Al Saleh – Director of Admin and Support Services will commence Nov. 7 at 7:00 a.m. and games will be played throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
For the past four years, Kudu has been providing quality basketball games to all its basketball fanatic staff and the primary objective of this tournament is to promote physical fitness, brotherhood relationship, enhance camaraderie and to provide worthwhile sports program.
Tournament Commissioner Raffy Habulan, Jr. confirmed the participation of ten teams spearheaded by the depending champions Ilocandia team of Aries Quiambao, Aries Sarmiento, Fundador Aguinaldo and Tony Farinas. Last year’s first runner-up Bulacan team key players are Rey Sillo, Jaime Abella and Luis Valle. Pampanga 1 team, last year’s 2nd runner-up have high leaper Jerry Sazon, Larry Calma, and neophytes Edmond Mamangun and Joeser Bustamante in their line-up. Orly “Walang Kupas” Casimero, Frando Rodejo and Jimmy Franco head the Southern Blazer team, who took the 3rd runner-up position last year. Other participating teams are the Manila team headed by Noel “Bordz” Sabordo, Joselito Moreno and Moawia Ayoub, the Laguna team led Larry Navea and Ernesto Capilit, the Palawan team headed by Carmelo Rodelas, Dan Bresento and Atilano Quizon, the Pampanga 2 team led by Aldo Maninang and Gary Bautista. Veterans Jerry “Angel” Villanueva, Russell Fabello, Louie Banaira and Sheraton Basketball’s Rookie of the Tournament Allain Catalan led the roster of the Batangas team.
