Rainwater drainage plan

JEDDAH, 16 November 2002 — Jeddah Municipality has set out a plan to remove rainwater from main roads in six hours, from service roads within 48 hours and public squares and grounds within 72 hours, according to Abdullah Al-Moallami, mayor of the city. He said the ministry was implementing projects worth SR150 million to set up a rainwater drainage system, which will be ready within two years. — Abdul Aziz Ghazzawi
