JEDDAH, 17 November 2002 — Saudi Telecom Company has decided to cut Internet charges by 40 percent from five to three halalas per minute and from SR3 to SR1.8 per hour, Al-Madinah newspaper reported yesterday. It said the new tariff will come into effect on April 1, 2003. The paper said the company has also decided to slash telephone charges for domestic calls by 13.8 percent and international calls by five percent next year. The company took the decisions as part of its efforts to increase sales, the paper said.
