JEDDAH, 11 December 2002 — The Pakistan Repatriation Council held a reception at Kababish Restaurant recently in honor of Chaudhry Shahbaz Hussain, the newly elected member of the National Assembly.

Chaudhry Shahbaz was elected to the lower house of Parliament on a Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) ticket. Speaking on the occasion Chaudhry Shahbaz said he would brief the prime minister on the issue of stranded Pakistanis because it is a national and humanitarian issue. Shahbaz said he will try to arrange a meeting between a PRC delegation and Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali when the prime minister visits the Kingdom. He said he would try to solve the problems of members of the Pakistani community living in Saudi Arabia.
