Couple abscond with stolen cash

JEDDAH, 11 December 2002 — An Indonesian driver and his wife are absconding with SR51,000 stolen from the house of their sponsor, a female school teacher in Alkharma, Al-Jazirah reported yesterday. Informed sources told the Arabic daily that the Saudi teacher informed the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh and the Saudi Embassy in Jakarta about the theft and provided them with pictures of the alleged thieves. The paper identified the driver as Mukarram Ata, 32 and his wife as Ankumawal Jato, 31.
