Hilal, Riyadh in 1-1 draw

RIYADH, 22 December 2002 — Al-Riyadh snatched a second-half equalizer against Al-Hilal and then held off the latter with some fine defending in the King Fahd Cup soccer tournament for a 1-1 draw. Hilal took the lead in the 18th minute through Sami Al-Jaber and crossed over with this edge. But a 59th minute strike by Omar Tarawi helped Riyadh gain a share of points. Hilal now are in second place with 20 points and Al-Riyadh are in the ninth place with seven points.
