JEDDAH, 27 December 2002 — The Islamic Development Bank has allocated $430 million to finance several projects in a number of Muslim and non-Muslim countries. According to IDB President Ahmad Mohammed Ali the new provisions consisted of more than S$148 million for financing development projects in 10 member countries and $1.3 million as grants for financing five educational institutions in non-member countries from the Waqf Fund.
