Call to look for crescent

RIYADH, 31 December 2002 — The Supreme Judicial Council has urged Muslims to sight the crescent of the lunar month of Dul Qaada on Thursday evening. "Those who sight the crescent are requested to report to the nearest court to register the sighting, or to inform the governorate of the region," said a statement released here yesterday by the Supreme Judicial Court.
