Mahdi named Arriyadiah deputy editor

JEDDAH, 5 February 2003 — Prince Faisal ibn Salman, chairman of the Saudi Research and Marketing Group, has issued a statement appointing Saad Faleh Al-Mahdi deputy editor in chief of the sports daily Arriyadiah, a sister publication of Arab News.

Al-Mahdi is a career sports editor with more than 20 years’ experience in the field. He served as head of the sports section at Al-Masaeya newspaper before taking over as the newspaper’s managing editor and then editor in chief. He also worked as deputy head of the sports section at Al-Jazirah daily newspaper and as manager of the newspaper’s bureaus.
