Dr. Samahi Named SDC Deputy Chief

RIYADH, 27 February 2003 — Prince Faisal ibn Salman, chairman of the Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SRMG), has appointed Dr. Sulaiman bin Omar Al-Samahi as deputy director general of the Saudi Distributing Company (SDC). Dr. Samahi held several positions at the Saudi Research and Publishing Company (SRPC), a SRMG affiliate, serving as deputy editor of Al-Eqtisadiah and acting deputy editor of Asharq Al-Awsat, two Arabic language sister publications of Arab News.

Before joining SRPC, Dr. Samahi worked as associate professor at the Institute of Public Administration and general manager for human resource development at Bank Al-Jazeerah.
