Drug Dealer Surrenders

NAJRAN, 27 March 2003 — A drug dealer was arrested after a shootout with police, Al-Watan reported. Police sources told the newspaper that officers, who had been monitoring the movements of the man, surrounded the house early in the morning and asked him to surrender. The man refused and opened fire at the officers, who continued the siege for five hours until the man’s father was able to convince him to give himself up.
