ALKHOBAR, 22 June 2003 — In cooperation with Future Technologies Ltd., the Saudi Society for Technology Development and Transfer (SSTDT) is offering live via satellite, Debra Amidon speaking about harnessing national capital for wealth and jobs creation.

Amidon’s presentation “Road Map from Assessment to Fulfillment” will be beamed to four cities — Riyadh, Jeddah, Alkhobar and Jubail on June 24 from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Complete details of the presentation are available through [email protected].

Amidon is the chairman and CEO of Entovation International, a global innovation research and consulting network linking 90 countries throughout the world. Considered an architect of the Knowledge Economy, her specialties include knowledge management, e-learning networks, customer innovation and enterprise transformation. Over the last few years, she has given presentations to audiences in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia and South Africa.

Known among her peers as a management pioneer, philosopher and visionary, Amidon has captured the imagination of academic, government and industrial leaders around the globe. Her “Momentum of Knowledge Management” — and subsequent “Global Momentum of Knowledge Strategy” — is available in many languages over the Internet. Her books have been published in French, Spanish, Portuguese, German and two Chinese languages.

“Amidon is not widely known throughout the Middle East. That’s a pity because the concepts she espouses are of critical importance to those nations that want to become and remain strong global players in the 21st century,” said Abdulla Al-Subyani, secretary-general, SSTDT. “As many people are unable to travel right now to conferences abroad, we have arranged for Amidon to speak from Boston, Massachusetts by satellite to a wide audience in the Kingdom. We hope her presentation will provide people with ideas to jump-start needed changes both in the private and public sectors of the Saudi economy.”
