RIYADH, 4 July 2003 — Youthful Turki Al-Essa, a Saudi national player, once again displayed his awesome performance to lift the Power Grip team emerge as the week’s best team of the week and take the best bowler honors in the 16th week of the RBC Friday Night Bowling League organized by Samsco through its finance manager, Nader Al-Kady.
Al-Essa exploded a towering four game series of 875 in lines of 214, 211, 220 and 210 and got an average of 218. Al-Essa’s brilliant display helped the Power Grip team dismantle the Parokya (26-0). Faisal Al-Shairy and Hassan Al-Sheikh toppled 870 and 843 and Bader Al-Sheikh and Yasser Aburaish shot identical series of 785 for Power Grip.
For Parokya team, playing with a blind player Reny Dimapilis and George Santo Domingo hit 785 and 784. Benny Santos scored 772 and Raman Gurung had a series of 754.
Thunderball upset the powerhouse RBC Patriots (22-8). Fidel Ferrer toppled an outstanding 858, Jett Cabana and Onette Orca impressed with 788 and 777. Ronald Bautista added 677 while Jim Lasaca chipped in with 565 and Ernie Quiambao poured 410.
Noel Marquez topscored for RBC Patriots with 851. Rod Tagaban and Elmer Penoso sealed identical series of 778 while Romy Zafe downed 764.
The Pro-Shop team demolished CA-ME Agent team (18-8). Oca Bernabe rolled a big round to topscore for Pro-Shop with 870. Frank Ranera, Tony Vicario and Mannex dela Torre got 782, 775 and 710 while Fhel Ramos toppled 641. For the CA-ME Agent, Nestor Ranido led with 854. Jun Gana and Nestor Tercio sealed 758 and 708 and Manny Lebrilla collected 555.
D’Pirates beat the Samsco (10-0) and topscoring for D’Pirates was Jomarie de Luna (778), followed by Resty de Jesus (757), Lando Portento (736) and Cas Encilla (729). Ibrahim Abaalkhel and Nader Al-Kady starred for Samsco with 741 and 719. Jay-R Diaz hit 666 while Ali Jaafar scored 347 in two games.
The Bowleros got a 10-2 victory over the Berks. Bowleros’ Ed Maduro carded 790. Jojo Miraflor (762), Tony Tapayan (723), Ed Dalisay (717) and Pido Villarosa (691) too contributed. For Berks Jun Ausa shot 830. Eddie Eder hit 774 followed by Marlon Bernabe (698) and Eric Perez (366).
