JEDDAH, 20 July 2003 — Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, yesterday vowed to hunt down terrorists as long as it takes even if this meant spending “dozens of years” trying to rid the country of them and prayed to God to “destroy the enemies of Saudi Arabia, the Muslim nation and humanity”.
He was speaking to tribal chiefs from Quraish, Bani Al-Harith and Al-Harb, as well as dignitaries from Rabigh who condemned the recent terrorist bombings in Riyadh and other places.
“We promise you that we will go after them (the terrorists) even if it takes dozens of years until the rotten seed is destroyed. We are proud of you and of all the Saudi people who stand united as one strong hand against these elements. Rejoice. Your country is in good condition. May the Almighty Allah destroy the last of your enemies and the enemies of Islam, the Muslim nation and humanity,” the Saudi Press Agency quoted the crown prince as saying.
