JEDDAH, 8 August 2003 — Mobi Fabric Softener with Joe Flores, Rally Zamora and Jun Pilipina in fine form sealed 50 points to snatch the top spot in the 3rd week of the Monday Night Bowling League at the Jeddah Lanes Bowling Center. The league is chaired by Igna Salgado.
Flores, one-time 300 perfect holder and past FTBJ president, Zamora and titlist Pilipina lifted the Mobi Softener team posting a separate three game series of 612, 609 and 603. Likewise, Salgado and Val Magsino posted separate three game series of 582 and 564. Sharing the limelight with the Mobi Fabric were the keglers of the SkyFreight Forwarders who tallied 50 points. Bankable Rene Santiago and Hashim Guinomla impressed by toppling series of 641 and 620. Santiago rolled a game high 247 while Guinomla rolled 226. Hero Garcia scored 604 while Boy Ramos and Rod Morales submitted 593 and 536.
Bert Tuvera helped Tetra Pak team to collect 47 points. Ruben Medina (583), Bonnie Garcia (580), Rudy Valenzuela (570) and Goying Salazar (549) supported Tuvera.
The ? ? ? ? team garnered 38 points through Leo Laygo (653) and Eddie Tuico (623). Vic Santos and Bien Hermosura scored 579 and 562. Lavern Laderas had 485 series.
The Thunderball quintet collected overall total team series of 2,743 for 33 points. Majed Aslani led with 610 points followed by Ghassan Al-Masry (554), Wadee Mohd. (544), Hobani Ahmad (521) and Gareeb Abdullah (514). The Zuhair Fayez team garnered 31 points with Salic Mudag toppling 616. S. Arnel and Boying Serquina registered 595 and 535 while Cris Villavelez and Johnny Diores submitted 509 and 498.
The team of Edwin Ronquillo pocketed 28 points with Joey Salvador and Jess Pineda toppling 602 apiece. Ronquillo downed 564, Nap Patayan hit 509 and Ver Luz fired 459.
Falcon’s Dhads Gueco and Jun Lasaga dazzled with 585 and 573 while Rudy Punzalan (553), Roger Daquioag (532) and Danny Manriza (513) lent support.
The Croocodiles got 24.5 points with Mohamad Talal (578), Sultan Khayat (564), Hisham Hosni (542), Mido Ahmad (505) and Turki Taylone (500). The Insektos team took 25 points with Zaldy Parinas (629), Mao Orolfo (579), Nonie Yap (540), Wilson Triguero (504) and Arnold Alday (486) standing out. Larry Santos (607) helped Saudi Diyar team seal 13.5 points. Egay Samartino (543), Jerry Valle (496), Raul delos Reyes (486) and Daniel Mendoza (450) assisted. The Hackers team recorded 9 points with Faisal Jurafaini hitting 603. Monther Al Degheme (558, Sultan Harbi (527) and Billal Allaf (336) gave support.
