JEDDAH, 19 September 2003 — In sixth week matches of Jeddah Cricket League summer league, Saudia Milk inflicted heavy defeat on Saleheen. UMA prevailed over Nadeem Memorial. Traco Green beat Talha Optics. Sadafco defeated Saudia City. Traco had an easy victory over Lux Progress. Adamjee Insurance maintained its winning streak against Dabbagh.

Victory Against Saleheen
Saudia Milk first bundled Saleheen for low score of 65, then rattled the required runs for the loss of one wicket only.
Aijaz (4 for 16) was the destroyer in chief of Saleheen batting. He claimed the first four wickets: Arif (15), Arfan (8), Asadullah (4) and Sajed (5). Saleheen’s batting folded for 65 runs in 11 overs.
Requiring a modest score for victory, Saudia Milk sent in the lower order batsmen, Amir Tauqeer and Khalid. Amer found the ropes five times in his unbeaten knock of 37. Khalid scored 11 runs off 17 balls and was run out in a mix up. Saudia Milk raced to victory in 7th over.
UMA Win Against
Nadeem Memorial
Nadeem Memorial posted a challenging score of 189 in its allotted overs but UMA cruised to victory with 5 overs to spare.
Tahir (50) and Naveed (32) provided a solid start of 70 runs. Qazzafi added 25 with the help of 3 boundaries. Nadeem Memorial suffered a mini collapse as Saleem (2), Nusrat (0), Zafar (3) were dismissed cheaply. Nadeem Memorial slumped from 75 for one to 114 for five.
Sohail (36) and Faisal (28) stemmed the rot and added 37 runs for the 6th wicket. Nadem Memorial posted 186 runs. Iqbal claimed 3 wickets. Waseem and Akbar picked 2 wickets each.
UMA’s prolific scorer Khalid was shocked by Haji Faisal with his first delivery. Haji Faisal dealt a second blow in the same over by having Waseem adjudged leg before. UMA looked in dire states but Akbar (97) and Qaiser (81) played a solid innings. Their partnership was worth 172 runs. Tariq claimed the wicket of Qaiser.

Traco Green posted 186 runs. Talha Optics in reply could only reach 147. Traco Green’s total of 186 was a combined effort of Niaz (22), Rashid (36), Babar (22), Kaleem (27) and Shakeel (23). Shahzad (5), Nisar (10), Irfan (15), and Imran (12) went cheaply. Shafiq (2 for 31) made early in roads. Zahid (2 for 32) also bowled well. Saeed and Mukhtar had one wicket each.
Talha Optics expected a solid start from its openers, Faisal and Asif. But they failed this time. Faisal went for 11 and Asif for 18. Shafiq walloped 5 boundaries in his 33. Zahid with (45) and Mukhtar (11), failed to make a worthwhile contribution, too lent support. Saeed (42) resorted to hitting every ball. Talha Optics managed 147 runs. Shakeel laid the foundation for Traco Green’s victory by dismissing both openers. Nadeem, Niaz, Kaleem, Imran claimed one victim each.
