RIYADH, 14 November 2003 — Kenneth Pegano scored 22 points, 12 rebounds, to lead SPIS team to victory 72-67 against the IPSR team in the Filipino Basketball League Inter-School Basketball Tournament held at the RKH basketball court.
Supangan had 16 points to back Pegano. Arcega and Rivera added 11 and 10 points respectively to counter the dual threat of Trinidad and Pundoma who scored a total of 40 points in the game for IPSR. Trinidad scored 27 points while Pundoma added 13 points.
SPIS led in the third quarter and finished the game with a 5 point lead as Pegano sank back to back charities in the dying seconds of the fourth quarter for victory 72-67.
In the game between the NIS team and the Elite team, NIS won 58-57 through the effort of Sultan who sank 2 of his 4-point output in the closing seconds in the fourth quarter.
