ABU DHABI, 1 December 2003 — Government-owned UAE telecoms operator Etisalat is reducing international calls by as much as 40 percent starting on Dec. 2, to mark national independence day, the company said yesterday. International calls will be reduced by between 10 and 40 percent from both landlines and mobile phones, Etisalat said in a statement.
