JEDDAH, 13 December 2003 — Emirates recently opened a new office in Makkah to smoothen and make more effective its service offerings to the holy city, visited by an ever-increasing number of pilgrims. “It marks the venue of the fourth Emirates office in the Kingdom, after the Eastern, Central and Western provinces, and successfully underlines the strategic importance of our services to the Kingdom,” said Hamad Obaidalla, Emirates’ vice president for the GCC, Yemen, Iran and CIS. “The Makkah office is staffed by five multilingual personnel — four Saudi nationals and an expat — rigorously trained in Emirates’ procedures and standards. More personnel will be recruited once Emirates Holidays comes on board next year to offer its products through the new office,” he said. “Passengers are assured of a seamless travel experience as the new office offers the full range of counter services combined with exceptional levels of service,” he added. The airline currently operates flights to Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam. Offices in these three cities also cater to passengers eager for products and services from Emirates SkyCargo and Emirates Holidays. The airline recently launched a dedicated Saudi website to enable passengers in the Kingdom to access information and make bookings from the comfort of their homes and offices.
