RIYADH, 19 December 2003 — Hatco team swept Meed Klassno 2-0 to clinch the first final slot in the Filipino Basketball League (FBL) Inter-Company Basketball Tournament best of 3 semifinal game at the White Palace Hotel.
Hatco through the efforts of Luna, Imuan, Bravo and Placino, who combined for 65 points, beat Meed Klassno 83-74 in the first game.
Bravo, who had 12 point output, dominated the boards with the help of Luna, who topscored with 23 in the game. Semilla and Senque scored 23 and 21 points and De Guzman backed them up with 10 points in the game.
In the second game of the semifinal series, Meed Klassno was down 15 points in the first quarter but came back and outscored Hatco 23-20. Hatco made some adjustment by attacking the perimeter and took the quarter 23-22 for a 13-point lead at the end of the third quarter.
Meed Klassno came back again in the fourth quarter outscoring Hatco 23-11 forcing a deadlock in the closing seconds of the game. But Bravo was fouled and he sank 1 charity point that made all the difference.
