Saudia to Streamline Cargo Operations

JEDDAH, 20 February 2004 — Saudi Arabian Airlines is streamlining its cargo operations to make them more profitable in preparation for eventual privatization. Khalid Bin Bakr, its director general, recently met with a working group set up for the purpose to discuss a tentative budget, the airline said. Saudia said it expects to carry 6.3 percent more cargo in 2004 than last year.
