Saud, Moasher Hold Key Talks

RIYADH, 27 February 2004 — Saudi Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal met with Jordanian Foreign Minister Marwan Moasher, who visited Riyadh briefly last night. The talks centered on the preparations for next week’s meeting of Arab foreign ministers, a Jordanian diplomatic source said.

Moasher discussed with Prince Saud issues expected to be raised at the meeting slated for March 3-4 in Cairo, the source said. His visit follows that of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Tuesday during which Saudi Arabia and Egypt agreed on a joint stand on “rectifying the Arab situation” that they would put to the foreign ministers’ meeting.
