JEDDAH, 29 February 2004 — The Jeddah Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, set up in 1990, has successfully completed over 13 years of existence. The chapter hosted the Annual Dinner for members and their family recently.
Saquib Agboatwala gave a brief overview of the activities of the Chapter in 2003. To encourage the students of commerce stream to take up Chartered Accountancy as a profession, the Chapter presented awards to four top-ranking 11th grade students of the International Indian School, Jeddah.
In the Girls’ Section, Miss Anuja Rajendran was awarded for topping the Commerce Faculty during 2002-03, while Miss Sadia Sikandar was awarded for securing the highest marks in accountancy. In the Boys’ Section Master Aiman Syed Javed was presented the award both for topping the Commerce Faculty and securing highest marks in accountancy.
