Petromin Files Charges Against Distributors

JEDDAH, 19 March 2004 — Salem Shahin, the president of Petromin, stated that charges have been filed against some local distributors for re-filling Petromin containers with fraudulently reprocessed lubricants and selling them to the public. Shahin added that the company has caught some of the distributors involved re-manufacturing the lubricants. He stated that Petromin is working closely with the ministry of commerce and industry and with the customs department to monitor the situation and prevent flooding of the local market with such fraudulent lubricants.
