Al-Jaber Holds Talks With Austrian President

JEDDAH, 1 April 2004 — Austrian President Thomas Klestil held talks in Vienna recently with Saudi businessman Muhammad ibn Issa Al-Jaber, chairman of MBI International, on ways of strengthening cooperation between Austria and the group, which has businesses in Europe and the Middle East.

During the meeting, Klestil emphasized his country’s desire to establish large projects in Arab countries. MBI bought the Grand Hotel Wien in 2002 from Nippon Airways. The hotel is currently managed by JJW Hotels, an affiliate of the group, which has assets worth $3 billion.
