Storage provider STME has unveiled a new strategy for 2004 aimed at serving a wider range of Middle East customers with a more comprehensive offering of data management and protection solutions. STME will now offer consultancy services including design and implementation for more “niche” markets as well as the emerging or mid-market sector, all the way through to ongoing support and training services.
To achieve this objective, STME has created a number of new partnerships that will enable it to better meet the needs of clients of different sizes across a range of sectors. In addition to STME’s previous portfolio of partners — including EMC, StorageTek, VERITAS, Emulex, Brocade, CNT, McData, ACAL Fibre Channel Solutions and Imation — the company in 2004 will also offer storage solutions from Network Appliance (NetApp), Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) and Cisco Systems.
Also as part of STME’s drive to address the storage needs of a larger section of the SMB market, the company will offer disk-based solutions from its existing partner, StorageTek. The new additions to STME’s product portfolio will complement its existing range and will enable the company to integrate and design appropriate information infrastructure solutions for clients in the Middle East.
