Media Mourn Death of Veteran Photojournalist

JEDDAH, 20 April 2004 — The Saudi media mourn the death of Abdul Monem Hamid Othman, a photographer with the Saudi Research and Publishing Company, who died of a stroke on Friday. He was 70.

Abdul Monem is survived by five children. His body will be flown to Cairo for burial.

Abdul Monem spent 55 years in the media, first as a photographer for Egypt’s Al-Ahram newspaper. He then worked for Al-Madinah newspaper before joining SRPC, which publishes Arab News and its 10 sister publications. He worked for SRPC for 14 years.
