AMMAN, 10 May 2004 — Saudi Arabia led the list of exporters to Jordan in the first quarter of the year, with Jordan importing 220.3 million dinars ($311 million) worth of Saudi goods, according to official statistics released yesterday. Jordanian imports from Saudi Arabia, mainly crude oil and hydrocarbon derivatives in the first three months of the year, accounted for 18.7 percent of the country’s total imports, the General Statistics Department (GSD) said in a quarterly report.
