RIYADH, 18 May 2004 — A young man obsessed with Harley Davidson motorcycles bought a cotton shirt on display at the company’s Riyadh showroom for SR 99,000, reported Al-Watan. The young man saw the shirt in the showroom and demanded to buy it from the owners who refused. He then began offering higher and higher amounts for the shirt until he reached SR99,000. He bought it on condition that the shirt remain displayed in the showroom with a notice saying “SOLD.” He also ordered that his name not be published until the transaction was complete.
