JEDDAH, 30 May 2004 — Students at the International Philippine School in Jeddah (IPSJ) have one reason to be happy when they return to school next week.

A well-known charitable institution, the Al Haramain Charitable Foundation headed by Sheikh Ahmad Zahrani, has donated 23 complete sets of brand new computers to the school, specifically for use by students who have no computers to call their own.

“I pity the students who for a long time have been deprived of computer use. This is a dream come true for them,” said school principal Ameerah S. Ali, who requested the computers from the Foundation.

She said the Foundation also plans to donate volumes of Islamic and education books, illustrative teaching aids, laboratory science equipment and a port-a-cabin for praying Muslim students and faculty staff.

The donation was received and witnessed by members of the IPSJ Board of Trustees Edris Tamano and Rhic Briones.
