JEDDAH, 14 June 2004 — A group of scholars yesterday denounced the recent terror attacks in the Kingdom which they said claimed innocent lives. The scholars in a statement said Islam prohibits all forms of violence, especially against fellow human beings.
“The bombings, killings and destruction of public and private property are a horrendous crime prohibited in Islam,” the ulema said in the statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency. Signatories included Abdul Rahman Al-Barrak, Abdullah Al-Jabrain, Safar Al-Hawali, Sheikh Salman Al-Oudah, Abdullah Al-Tuwajiri and Nasser Al-Amr.
