RIYADH, 18 June 2004 — Top Gun clinched their fourth Team of the Week accolade during the 19th session of the United Electronics Co. (EXTRA) Tuesday Night Bowling League 4th Conference at the Riyadh Bowling Club lanes.
Ara Bowlers were waylaid by Top Gun which had steadily climbed up the upper half of the standings. The scoreline was 26-15 on total pinfalls of 3,392-3,163.
Triple “R” were equally deadly in a 23-13 rout of Blue Blood on total pinfalls of 3,205-3,057. Runaway leader RBC Patriots took advantage to hit good figures of 25 points and total pinfalls of 3,248.
ABV RG trounced Untouch-A-Bowl 22-14 (3,185-3,088), Snap Shots 4 topped Xtreme OPS 18-10 (3,001-2,969) and Starstrucks edged KIA’s Pride 18-17 (3,129-3,117) in the other matches in the four-man team league event sponsored by United Electronics Co. through assistant marketing manager Ammar Issa. KIA’s William Ybay was named Bowler of the Week when he rolled the high series of 877 on lines of 192, 212, 200, 169 and 104 handicap.
Jett Cabana was the hottest Top Gun player at 877. Ernie Quiambao and Angel Pantoja tossed in 841 and 813 respectively, while the the rest of the games were shared by Boy Bartolome with 663 and Rod Basilio with 198.
Romy Zafe rolled a remarkable series of 863 at the head of Triple “R”s offense that also netted 797 from Ding Balagtas, 610 from Sonny Bautista, 547 from Romy Duran and 388 from Jerome Mercado.
ABV RG bowled solid using a four-man combination of Alex Paguila (843), Henry Pablo (814), Nestor Tercio (798) and Elmer Penoso (739).
Starstrucks were bannered by Cris Sibayan with 868 and Ricky Talde with 806. Contributions of 566, 546 and 343 came from Mikee Alcaraz, Sim Diorico and Victor Berdin in that order.
