Embassy on Wheels in EP This Week

ALKHOBAR, 30 June 2004 — The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh will be sending a consular team here this weekend to render consular and passport services to the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the Eastern Region.

The Embassy on Wheels, headed by Vice Consul Germinia Aguilar-Usudan, will be transacting business at the Al-Bustan Hotel in Alkhobar from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow, and from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday. The consular team is composed of attachés Acas Bayabao, Walter Villalobos, Adelfa Lesslie Balili, and Juliet Souribio.

Labor and welfare issues will be handled by the POLO-OWWA team headed by Labor Attaché Delmer Cruz, Assistant Labor Attaché Angel Borja, and Supervising Welfare Officer Sotero Tornea.

Ambassador Bahnarim Guinomla is also expected to arrive in Alkhobar on Friday to personally assess the current situation of the Filipino workers in the region.
