ABU DHABI, 16 July 2004 — The Eleventh Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference “ADIPEC 2004” will be held here at the Abu Dhabi International Exhibition Center from Oct. 10-13 under the patronage of Sheikh Khalifa ibn Zayed Al-Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces and the chairman of the Supreme Petroleum Council. The event will include the participation of several oil and mineral resources ministers from the GCC, other Arab countries and dignitaries from the oil industry.
Saeed ibn Jabr Al-Suwaidi, chairman of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the deputy chairman of the General Exhibitions Corporation (GEC) said that the current session of ADIPEC will witness an increase in the number of exhibitors, conference delegates and visitors from all over the world.
He added that ADIPEC has become one of the largest and most informative oil and gas forums in the region since its inception in 1984. Al-Suwaidi said that this year’s session will be the biggest so far and the exhibition space area has been increased to accommodate the growing number of local and international exhibitors.
