Three New Appointments at SRMG Companies

RIYADH, 18 July 2004 — The chairman of the board of Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SRMG) has named Majed Hamzah Ghurab as director general of Al-Madina Printing and Publishing Company replacing Abdul Hadi Bafakir who recently retired. The chairman thanked Bafakir for his services and appreciated his efforts throughout his stint at the company.

Ghurab worked for seven years with the Saudi Research and Publishing Company (SRPC) gaining experience in production. He was manager for new projects in color printing for the Al-Madina Company since 2001.

Meanwhile, the SRPC director general appointed Tareq Abdul Kareem Al-Gain as assistant director general for publication. Al-Gain has a degree in computer science from the United States. He served in the Royal Saudi Air Force for 16 years in computer engineering and information technology. He joined SRPC in 2003 as manager of the technical assistance department and was responsible for communications, media production and information technology.

The director general of Al-Khaleejiah Advertising and Public Relations Company appointed Hassan Al-Saadawi as regional manager for the company in Saudi Arabia. Al-Saadawi is responsible for all company activities in the Kingdom. He started his career in the advertising business with Bell Canada and then moved to Al-Khaleejiah soon after the company was formed in 1990. The last position he held was operations manager and was incharge of executing the advertising contract with Saudi Television.
