Bride Dies Within 10 Hours of Marriage

MADINAH, 3 September 2004 — A bride in Madinah died on her wedding day, Al-Madinah newspaper reported. She suffered from a heart attack when she was on her way to Jeddah where she and her husband were planning to spend their honeymoon. It happened within 10 hours of her marriage. A shattered husband said: “After the wedding and spending the first night in a hotel in Madinah, we left for Jeddah for our honeymoon. A few kilometers before we reached Jeddah, my wife felt chest pain and found it difficult to breathe. I took her to the nearest hospital in Jeddah but she died minutes before we arrived”.
