Firm to Help NRIs With Services Back Home

RIYADH, 6 October 2004 — A new company, Junnu Enterprises, offering a range of general services exclusively for non-resident Indians (NRIs), has been launched here. The company has set up three temporary contact points in Saudi Arabia for those interested in its services.

In the first phase of operation, the company will offer its services only in Andhra Pradesh. As for the kinds of services offered, the managing director, Mohammed Siddiq, explained that Junnu Enterprises would assist NRIs with real estate management, rehabilitation of elderly members, arranging tours and travels, children’s management and financial and legal services. The services also include maintenance of properties owned by Indian expatriates, construction of residential or commercial units and payment of taxes.

“The company will work on behalf of NRI’s to settle their utility bills, solve their children’s educational problems, build and maintain their houses and handling financial transactions with safety and security,” said Siddiq.

He said the total number of Indians in the Kingdom is currently in excess of 1.5 million and that many of them and their families face various problems in India.

Asked about the charges for the company’s services, Siddiq said, “A membership program has been designed with a refundable deposit of SR500 and a monthly service charge of SR80.” The charges, he said, vary according to the kinds and number of services provided.
