ISLAMABAD, 15 October 2004 — US Assistant Secretary of State Christina Rocca will arrive in Islamabad tomorrow on a four-day official visit as part of a regional tour that will also take her to India and Afghanistan.
During her four-day stay here Rocca will hold talks with Foreign Secretary Riaz Khokhar and meet with President Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri.
Pakistan-US relations, war on terrorism and India-Pakistan ties are likely to figure at the talks. Situation in Afghanistan and Iraq would also be discussed, sources said.
Pakistan wants to enhance trade relations with US and seeks more investment.
Diplomatic sources said the visit is important as it takes place just two weeks ahead of the US presidential elections.
