Kashmiris Mark Black Day

JEDDAH, 31 October 2004 — The Kashmir Committee, Jeddah, organized a function at the Consulate General of Pakistan on Wednesday to observe Black Day marking the occupation of Kashmir by the Indian forces on Oct. 27, 1947.

Consul General Masood Akhtar spoke about the freedom struggle of Kashmiris calling on Pakistanis to continue to extend moral and political support to the fighters.

Dr. Abdul Wahab Noor Wali, assistant secretary-general of the World Association of Muslim Youth, emphasized the need to be serious in resolving Kashmir and Palestine issues.
