JEDDAH, 25 November 2004 — Al-Rajhi Banking & Investment Corporation recently launched its first model branch at Al-Hamra District in Riyadh. The new branch, which was opened by Abdullah Suleiman Al-Rajhi, the bank’s executive president, reflects the bank’s future vision.
In a statement issued here yesterday, the bank said it was planning to open 110 model branches in various parts of the Kingdom by the end of next year.
“These branches will be provided advanced electronic banking facilities,” it added.
Located on Prince Abdullah Road, the Al-Hamra branch covers an area of 2,000 square meters. “It has a modern ATM facility, which will be accessible to clients while driving through, and a parking area for 24 cars,” the statement said.
The imposing branch with marvelous interior and exterior designs has been provided with an internal courtyard, a feature of traditional Saudi houses.
“There is an automatic queue system to organize clients, which is linked with the branch manager. This will help the manager to monitor services,” it said.
The branch is also provided with a telephone, which is directly linked with the bank’s general administration. This telephone can be used to carry out a spate of banking operations.
“There is also a computer system, which can be used by clients for electronic banking services,” the statement said.
The branch has two halls with plasma screens for clients to follow stock market developments. The woman’s section at the branch is also provided with modern electronic banking facilities, it added.
