Bin-Humaid Holds Talks in Dhaka

DHAKA, 5 December 2004 — Bangladesh President Iajuddin Ahmed held talks here yesterday with Saleh Bin-Humaid, chairman of the Saudi Shoura Council, on strengthening ties. The president underscored Kingdom’s efforts for Islamic causes as well as for Muslims all over the world. “We are thankful to the Kingdom for its continuous support to the development projects in Bangladesh and for hosting nearly one million Bangladeshi workers,” Ahmed said.

Bin-Humaid also met with the speaker of Bangladesh’s Parliament, Muhammad Jameer, and underlined “the strong and distinguished relations” between the two countries.
