JEDDAH, 26 December 2004 — Indian Ambassador M.O.H. Farook has named a three-member ad-hoc team to function in place of the managing committee of International Indian School, Jeddah, Hifzur Rahman, consul (administration, press and information), said yesterday.
The school’s Higher Board at a meeting in Taif on Dec. 17 accepted the resignation of the three-member managing committeee.
The new committee consists of Dr. Murtuza Riaz Beg (Hyderabad), Alavi Aruveetil (Kerala) and Mohammed Aziz Kidwai (Uttar Pradesh).
Following the acceptance of the resignation of the committee, the Higher Board authorized the ambassador, who is the school’s patron, to constitute an ad-hoc committee to run the school until an elected committee is installed, Hifzur Rahman said.
The new committee has taken charge with immediate effect.
