Mental Patient Calls for Funeral Prayer

AL-SULAIL, 7 February 2005 — Residents of Al-Sulail province were surprised when they heard someone calling for funeral prayer in the middle of the night from inside the mosque, Al-Watan newspaper reported. The prayer call continued for half an hour urging the residents to attend prayers at the burial ground. Residents near the mosque went inside and found out that it was a mentally ill person from the neighborhood. They had to drag the man out of the mosque and hand him over to his family.
